Bishop Sheen opens with an analysis of the virtue of studiosity and couples it with the virtue of prudence. He then, in a comparison with the consumption of food, details three stages in which we assimilate information: through "tasting" "chewing" and "digesting." Most fittingly, he concludes by entreating all to "begin study with prayer." The "Life Is Worth Living" Series was a popular inspirational American television series which aired between 1952 and 1957. Hosted by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, the series consisted mainly of Sheen discussing moral issues of the day.
